Residential Supportive Treatment Level 1
Clarissa Manor is a Level One Residential Supportive Treatment service which accepts clients who are pre and post treatment, and those who need a safe, sober and stable environment while working on their sobriety. We assist with developing healthy lifestyles, and offer cultural and spiritual support. We encourage attendance at 12-step programs (i.e. AA) and assist with community reintegration, vocational counselling, etc. We also offer support to individuals with children in care with Child and Family Services. Community referrals are made as needed i.e., medical, specialized counselling, legal. Maximum stay is three - six months.

Initial assessment varies according to client. Mutual investigation of client needs is based on comprehensive assessment as required (e.g., psychiatric report, probation order, stabilization goals, and community referrals). There are other forms of assessment, beyond the MOHLTC-approved standardized assessment tools, required to access this program. People live with us for up to six months, and therefore we are thorough in our assessment of suitability. We may require a psychiatric assessment or forensic report if client is referred from hospital, ACT team or justice system. This is an abstinence-based residence; however we do take methadone clients (no carries). Medical and psychiatric conditions must be under control. Minimum 72 hours abstinence pre-admission and able to participate in daily programs. Clarissa Manor is a community milieu, which is not staffed 24/7.
Some overnight staff coverage.
